Coming Soon: Levi's ®
Originating during the peak of the California Gold Rush in 1853, Levi's ® was born from the working class need at the time for durable and rugged clothing that could survive any conditions. The first pair of what we now know as jeans were introduced in 1873 through the combination of durable denim fabric with copper rivets. While they were originally intended purely for American workmen, Levi's ® quickly became vehicles of self expression that maintained the functionality required to be worked in.
In the years that have followed, a wide variety of different styles and fits were developed that have stood the test of time and remain favourites of each Levi's ® collection ever since. None have been longer lasting than the iconic 501. Characterised by their classic straight leg, mid-rise fit with a button fly, each pair of 501's represents over a century of the brand's history and cements their place as the creator of what will forever be the original "blue jean". They remain the cornerstone of each collection released.
The 511 style was developed to allow for a more contemporary slim fit, low-rise around the waist while retaining the roomier straight leg from the 501. Available in a wide variety of washes, the 511 is arguably one of the more versatile styles in each Levi's ® collection. For even more of a tailored look the 512 builds on the 511 with a tapered leg, helping to create a streamlined silhouette for casualwear occasions through each season. Filling the gap between slim and skinny fit, the 512 sits just below the waist and retains just enough room throughout for a comfortable fit and feel.
Regardless of your preferred look and style, Levi's ® have made minimising environmental impact their highest priority with the production of each collection. They have developed programmes such as "Water<Less®" to reduce the amount of water used when producing each pair of jeans. Thanks to regular audits of their production facilities and factories, the transitions have been made by the brand to using LED lighting and less natural gas throughout, so you can have peace of mind no matter which pair you choose.
