Brand Focus: Marshall Artist
Emerging from East London in 2001, Marshall Artist quickly made a name for themselves as one of the emerging names in the British streetwear scene. Initially known for their utility-focused technical jackets that blended a streetwear appearance with a more everyday style, the brand moved into using innovative dyeing techniques, colours and fabrics to create unique looks in the seasons that followed. An increasingly UK-inspired aesthetic can also be seen throughout each collection with a renewed focus on outerwear.
With their initial popularity found within the UK casual scene, the decision to make a further shift into a more modern style of terracewear took little hesitation. The collections that followed showcased bold and bright colours in homage to some of the more iconic "casual" brands while retaining the Marshall Artist DNA of utility and practicality throughout each piece. One of the biggest strengths with the brand is their inability to be pinned to one particular aesthetic or style and they continue to prove as much with every new collection.
The more recent collections released by Marshall Artist lean more towards clothing for hiking and outdoor audiences - even releasing a separate collection under the name "Outdoor Tailoring" specifically for the segment. Each item released is primarily focused on utility, functionality and performance throughout all manner of outdoor activities and utilises a wide range of technical fabrics for this purpose.
